Restaurants

Voodoo Doughnut
This is one is more for the experience than the outstanding quality of the doughnuts, because really, they don't compare to our beloved Top Pot. If you're really brave you can try the Maple Log with bacon on top.
Huber's
I can't remember if the food here is any good but we went back twice for the Spanish Coffee. It's an alcohol laden drink and a show all in one.
Le Bistro Montage
Great home cooking in a fun atmosphere. Plus they wrap up your leftovers in fun sculptures made from foil!
Saint Honore Boulangerie
Very tasty french pastries. A bit out of the way, but if you are checking out the rose and japanese gardens, definitely stop by.

Shopping

Powell's City Of Books
If you visit Portland and don't stop in at Powell's your insane. Seriously. They have locations all over town, but the incredibly huge main store is downtown on Burnside.
Missing Link Toys
An impressive collection of designer vinyl toys.

Oregon WIne Country

Oregon Wine
Wine country is about an hours drive outside of Portland. You will mostly find Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and the occasional Chardonnay.
Sake One
Not, strictly speaking, wine, but well worth dropping in. Lots of tasty Sake to try for a $5 tasting fee. They even offer tours.
